He’s okay though, right? -starts to dry herself off with her rag of a towel and throws on her clothes-
-nods- Yeah, as far as we know. Same old Sam. But… y’know, now it means his sacrifice was for nothing. World still ended. Still lost just about everything.
That’s…that’s horrible. -doesn’t really know what to do or say to offer...

-stops and turns in surprise even though his back is to her- Did you say Sam?
-resists turning to look at her when her splashing stops, instead tilting his head in her direction- Yeah… it was… weird. He just showed up out of nowhere. Didn’t remember anything after jumping in the Pit and showing up here.

Wow, that must’ve been a godsend. Or, I mean, just really lucky. God really isn’t part of the equation anymore. -sighs and soaps and rinses her torso- Um, so are there any more in your group or is it just you and Jo?
Yeah, I try not to bring God into these things anymore. It was definitely dumb luck. -laughs a bit, picking at some grass- Nah, there’s more of...

Really? Well, I’m glad I kept them, then.-smiles, happy to hear her with some joy, but feels it fade- Yeah… I don’t blame you. I would have left too.
We found it by accident, really. Our old camp was over run, and Jo and I came across this old factory. Great view, security, water nearby… it was pretty perfect. So we moved in.
Wow, that must’ve been a godsend. Or, I...

I think it’s more that I’ll never be able to hear it the same way again but that’s really thoughtful, thanks. -puts her clean clothes on a root nearby and strips off her shoes, dirty shorts, and shirt- I’d have thought you’d forgotten or thrown out my CDs by now.
Ah… yeah, I get that. -leans back on his hands, closing his eyes- I mean… I said I’d come back....

It’s so weird. I haven’t heard a single song or piece of music in the longest time. It’s all just like a distant country I’m never gonna get back to no matter how long I walk or run or anything.
Well, we’ve got a CD player or two, and an old MP3 player that runs on batteries. I’m sure we’ve got something you like. I think I still have some of your CDs in the...

Great, I promise I won’t take long. I’ve gotten used to bathe-and-runs since…everything went down.
It’s okay, take as long as you want. Really. I’ll be right there. I won’t… let anything happen to you.

Alright, if you want to. We should probably make the trip quick anyways before it gets dark. Shall we go then?
Yep. Grab your stuff, I’ll show you the way. And watch your step. I almost cracked my skull on a rock tripping over these roots.
Great, I promise I won’t take long. I’ve gotten used to bathe-and-runs since…everything went down.

You don’t have to do that, you just got back. If you could point me in the right direction, I’m sure I’ll make it okay.
I’d… feel better. If I could keep an eye on you. I mean, not on you but… y’know. I don’t have to be on watch for a few hours yet, I got time to kill.

deanwalkerchester replied to your post: Hey, Im back. Got your stuff.
Just ran into a few walkers, nothin I couldnt handle. The rivers a bit to the south. I can, uh I can take you down there if you want.

Unexpected Reunion | Dean & Lisa
deanwalkerchester:
Dean cursed as yet another branch scraped his cheek. He’d been on this supply run for hours, and so far he hadn’t found much food or anything else helpful to the group. He’d heard there was a strip mall not too far from the road, so here he was, making his way there. Stopping, he swiped at his cheek. No blood, a small blessing. Even the smallest cut could alert some walkers to...
